Time of use charging bill approved

The new law allowing time of use charging on New Zealand roads was passed in mid November. Time-of-use charging, often called congestion charging, aims to encourage drivers to change travel times or use public transport thereby, reducing congestion and boosting productivity. Auckland Council would be the first local authority to partner with the Government and NZTA to introduce the scheme. Read more in the full article from the New Zealand Herald below:
