Te Waihorotiu Station open day this Saturday 22 August
Te Waihorotiu Station will have its' public open day on Saturday 22 August 2026.
Visitors who secure a free ticket will be able to:
Walk through the new underground station before train services begin.
Learn about the station's design and features.
Find out how Auckland's rail network will operate once the CRL opens.
Low-sensory and early bird sessions, busking and community performances, food, pop-up experiences, interactive installations and activities.
Te Waihorotiu is one of the two brand-new underground city-centre stations created by the CRL project. Once the CRL opens, it is expected to the busiest train station in Auckland.
