Northland Expressway update

Progress is being made on the Northland Expressway, with the emerging preferred corridors for Warkworth to Te Hana, Te Hana to Port Marsden Highway and Port Marsden Highway to Whangārei. Further investigation and design refinements will be needed but the preferred route should be confirmed Spring 2025. The route will be one of NZ's most expensive infrastructure projects and is likely to be tolled. Click here for Northern Expressway update from the Beehive
