Nationwide ticketing system delayed
Motu Move is designed to replace the patchwork of different public transport cards and ticketing systems operating around the country with one national system. Nearly 2 years after it was supposed the launch, Canterbury bus passengers can finally buy a Motu Move card. The launch for Auckland is due in late 2027.
