Congestion charging - 3 options

Auckland Councillors have decided to move forward with three possible options for congestion charging during peak hours. These proposed time-of-use charging schemes are expected to decrease peak time congestion by between 2% and 13%. Following public consultation, the preferred option will be chosen in 2027, followed by ratification and ministerial approval in 2028.
