Brown wants more but cheaper cycle ways

Auckland mayoral candidate Wayne Brown wants to see an acceleration of cycleway construction but opposes talk of spending $2 billion over a decade on cycling – saying the solution should be cheaper. Brown said he was a cyclist himself, but safe cycle lanes needed only paint and some kerbing. He also suggested putting freight on trains as a way of reducing emissions. Read more below.
